Chinchillas Galore Application-
(please fill it out, copy and paste it and either email it to me, or call me for my address to send it via regular mail either with your deposit, or if you don't pay a deposit, when you pick up your chin)
I understand that this is a very detailed application, and that you may wonder why I am asking all these questions. I just want to make sure my animals go to the best possible homes they can, because I love them all very much. If you do not know an answer to any of these questions, that is OK, I am not going to penalize you for that, I just want you to please let me know, that is what I am here for, to answer your questions and to make sure you know everything you can before you have a chinchilla as a forever pet. It is my responsibility to teach you how to properly care for your new pet and to make sure you have the resources to do so. Thank you for understanding.

Caring for a chinchilla can be expensive. On average, you can expect to spend between $20-50 per month on food, bedding, and necessary veterinary care for a healthy pet.

You must be 16 years or older to purchase a chinchilla from Chinchillas Galore. If you are under 16 years old, I will need to speak with your parent or guardian; they must also be the person to complete and sign all forms. Initials: _______
Chinchillas Galore reserves the right to cancel a sale right up until the time the chinchilla is delivered. Initials: _______
I do not ship my chinchillas. You must be able to pick them up or make other arrangements to meet me within a reasonable distance from Lake Worth, Florida. If arrangements are made to meet you, then a fee to cover my gas expenses will be required. I must receive this fee before I will make the trip. The fee will be based on current gas prices, my car’s average gas mileage, and the total distance I must travel. Initials: _______
Once a verbal agreement has been made on your chinchilla purchase, I must receive a 50% non-refundable deposit within a week. I only accept cash, personal checks, or a cashier’s check. The deposit will hold the chinchilla for 3 weeks or until it is weaned, whichever is longer. The remaining balance must be made before pick-up or delivery. If you prefer to pay by cashier’s check or personal check, I must receive the payment at least 3 weeks before you receive your chinchilla. If your check bounces, you will be responsible for paying any fees that are incurred. I will only be able to accept cash at the time of pick-up or delivery. If the chinchilla does not go to its new home within the agreed upon time frame, then it will be put back up for sale unless other arrangements are made beforehand. Initials: _______
You agree that the chinchilla you purchase will remain in your care unless circumstances prohibit this. If such circumstances should arise, Chinchillas Galore has first right to get the chinchilla. If Chinchillas Galore cannot take the chinchilla back for some reason, the chinchilla will not be sold, traded, or given away without written consent from Chinchillas Galore. I will be willing to help you find a new suitable home for the chinchilla. Initials: _______
I require that any potential buyers fill out this application. I must receive a completed copy by e-mail, mail or in person before you can buy a chinchilla. Also, the hard copy needs to have your initials in the lower right corner of every page. Initials: _______
